To enhance understanding and share experiences with various stakeholders in the sports sector (Ministry of Youth and Sports, Indonesian NOC, KONI \/ National Sports Committee of Indonesia, KORMI \/ ndonesian Community Sports Committee, and IADO) regarding the resolution of sports disputes under its jurisdiction, BAKI (Indonesian Sports Arbitration Board) held a “BAKI Arbitrator Meeting” at the Indonesian NOC Office on July 18th, 2025. The meeting was highly beneficial, as it did not only provide a forum for constructive interaction but also allowed various parties to express their views on the merits of BAKI’s duties and functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For IADO, the forum was certainly very important, because when IADO was audited by the WADA Audit Team on April 27th and 28th, 2023, one of the findings of which urged IADO to collaborate with any independent sports arbitration institution, in which one of whose tasks is to assign few panel experts when doping cases decided by the RM Committee are brought up by any athlete facing alleged violations of the anti-doping regulations for appeal. An alternative solution to overcome the findings of the WADA Audit Team was through collaboration with BAKI, which was then stated in the signing of an MoU on December 12th, 2023 between the Chairman of BAKI Dr. M. Idwan Ganie, SH, FSIArb, accompanied by his Deputy Chairman Dr. Anangga W. Roosdiono, SH, LLM with the Chairman of IADO Mr. Gatot S. Dewa Broto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately for IADO, on October 18th, 2024, the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Dito Ariotedjo, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports office, announced the recognition of BAKI as the sole Indonesian sports arbitration body (as a follow-up to Law No. 11 of 2022 on Sports), thus making it easier for IADO to interact. That was the reason when BAKI on July 18th, 2025 invited a number of sports stakeholders, IADO was honored to attend the forum. In addition to the IADO Chairman being asked to deliver one of his remarks, a member of the IADO RM Committee (Mr. Damian Agata Yuvens) was also asked to be a source person in the discussion, whose aim was to provide an overview of the IADO RM Committee’s working procedures to the BAKI Arbitrators.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
