IADO held an Anti-Doping Education Webinar on April 20th, 2026, whose theme was “Developing Young Athletes with Integrity: Anti-Doping Education to Achieve Clean Sport in Central Sulawesi.” The webinar featured educational presenters (PRESI) Mr. Marhadi, S.Si., M.Pd., and Mrs. Natalia Desy Putriningtyas, S.Gz., M.Gizi., Dietitian. Young athletes from Tadulako Sports High School, Central Sulawesi, participated in the event. The event aimed to increase the understanding and awareness of young athletes in Central Sulawesi regarding the dangers of doping and the importance of upholding the values of clean sport. This anti-doping education also served as an athlete’s first experience before undergoing doping control or sampling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that webinar, the resource person explained about anti-doping education, including 11 Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs), the principle of absolute liability, how to use the Prohibited List, the procedure for applying for and obtaining a Therapeutic Used Exemption (TUE), Anti-Doping Education Learning (ADEL), and last but not least – about the doping control process. The resource person also explained about the role of athlete support personnel (ASP) who also influence the performance and achievements of an athlete as well as various violations and consequences of doping. Doping violations can have negative consequences for both athletes and ASP. An athlete’s early understanding of anti-doping is one of the strategic solutions in supporting athlete performance without violating the rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Head of the PK-PLK and Educational Innovation Division of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Education Office Mr. Muhammad Warsita, S\/Pd., MM, stated that this activity is expected to be the first step for Central Sulawesi athletes, ensuring that no more doping violations are found in national or international competitions. “We hope that no more doping violations will be found among Central Sulawesi’s proud athletes,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event concluded with an interactive discussion and question and answer session. The discussion and Q&A also emphasized the use of supplements among athletes. The importance of implementing a balanced diet for athlete management, including the need to be careful about everything an athlete consumes, was emphasized by the speakers. IADO Education Director Natashya Marcellina, S.Pd., MA, also emphasized the importance of communication between athletes and the ASP and the need to continually check the prohibited list. The question and answer session concluded with the concern of Mr. Muhammad Jufri, S.Pd., M.Pd., Principal of SMANOR Tadulako Palu, regarding the lack of a sports doctor in Central Sulawesi, despite the presence of a nutritionist. This concern was immediately addressed by the resource person, who emphasized the importance of involving nutritionists in calculating an athlete’s nutritional needs and implementing both quantity and quality guidelines. The enthusiasm of the participants and all those supporting the athletes’ success demonstrated a strong concern for ethical and health issues in the world of sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through that webinar, it was hoped that young athletes and ASP will consistently practice clean sports, thereby enhancing the health and achievements of Indonesian athletes, and finding Central Sulawesi athletes to represent Indonesia on the international stage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
