In Jakarta on May 21st, 2026, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between IADO (Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization) and the CND (National Sports Commission). The signing was carried out by Mr. Gatot S Dewa Broto as the Chairman of IADO and Mr. Jo\u00e3o Rodrigues as the Executive Secretary of CND. The MoU, entitled “Strengthening Anti-Doping Collaboration, Including Results Management (RM) and Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE),” is significant because it allows both national anti-doping authorities to work together to address doping issues in both countries, particularly regarding the management of RM and TUE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing of the MoU was not a sudden event, as it was preceded by the arrival of Mrs. Kerry Galhos from CND on February 3rd and 4th, 2026. Mrs. Kerry came in her capacity as the Person in Charge of NADO Timor Leste. In the meeting on the first day, IADO was present in full in the IADO office meeting room, all IADO Leaders and Staff, who were deliberately present to demonstrate the friendliness and spirit of cooperation between the two countries in the field of doping control. The meeting at the IADO office was made possible by the initiative of SEARADO, where Indonesia as the closest neighboring country and also coincidentally holding the leadership of SEARADO was expected to share knowledge and experience on the implementation of doping control. On the second day (February 4th, 2026) IADO shared experiences in the implementation of testing, education and intelligence. Then in the afternoon, she witnessed the signing ceremony of IADO with ISNA (Indonesia Sports Nutritionist Association), and then she joined in the FGD event with the Faculty of Medicine, Atmajaya University, which plans to invite IADO to provide anti-doping lecture materials for students of the Sports Medicine Study Program, Atmajaya University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coincidentally, on May 21st and 22nd, 2026, the IADO RM Committee was conducting a hearing against three athletes suspected of violating anti-doping regulations during the 20245 PON in Aceh and North Sumatra. Mrs. Kerry Galhos was invited to witness the hearing directly, both in person and online. Mrs. Kerry Galhos made the most of the opportunity to gain a firsthand understanding of how the RM Committee hearing proceeded, particularly in understanding how the panel of judges leading the hearing sought to uncover the underlying issues of doping allegations against the invited athletes in accordance with the provisions of the World Anti-Doping Code.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
