DN College Students Explore Anti-Doping Initiatives at IADO

The Indonesian Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) led by the Secretary General of IADO dr. Eka Wulan Sari accompanied by the Education Director Mrs. Natashya Marcellina Ardiany, S.Pd, SM, MA welcomed students from DN College (directly coming from the UK) to the headquarters of IADO at FX Office Tower on the 15th floor on July 1st, 2024. That educational visit, involving a total of 14 attendees, was designed to deepen the students’ understanding of anti-doping efforts and the integrity of sports. Students from various majors including Travel and Tourism, Business, and a Flight Attendant program, attended in-depth presentations about IADO’s mission and its impact on global sports. These sessions aimed to educate the visitors on the importance of fair play and the consequences of doping. Engaging discussions with IADO experts provided the students with first-hand insights into the challenges of maintaining sports integrity. These conversations covered the advancements in anti-doping technology and the daily operations involved in upholding fairness in sports.

The event also highlighted potential career opportunities in sports management and regulatory affairs, illustrating how students could eventually contribute to the sports industry. The delegation included nine students guided by their lecturers, Mrs. Tracey Hewitt and Mrs. Kelly Gormley, Representatives from the British Chamber of Commerce, including Mrs. Lia Armalia and Mrs. Dena Syahira, also participated, highlighting the collaborative efforts to promote sports integrity. The visit successfully raised awareness among the students about the critical role of anti-doping organizations in sports. It also sparked interest in careers related to sports governance and anti-doping management. IADO looks forward to fostering more such educational interactions to inspire future leaders to advocate for clean sports.
