Anti-Doping Education at the International Weightlifting Coaching Course Activity

For the purpose of increasing the quality and performance of the weightlifting course, an activity of the International Weightlifting Coaching Course was organized at Fortuna Grande Malioboro Hotel, Yogyakarta, on October 8th, 2024. That activity was based on the implementation of new regulation requiring any weightlifting coaches who will accompany athletes in international competitions to be the internationally certified ones. These regulations have been implemented by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF). Coincidently, a representative of the IWF also attended as one of the speakers on that activity.

There were 20 participants in that activity, whose results of the evaluation forms provided by IADO showed that almost all of them had previously received anti-doping education. That activity was also attended by representatives of the IWF who participated in this anti-doping education session, Mr Pandoo Aveenash who conveyed to the speakers of IADO, represented by the Director of Education Mrs. Natashya Marcellina Ardiany, S.Pd, S.M, MA, that the IWF really appreciates the anti-doping education activities of IADO as the IWF really promotes clean sport. In addition, that activity was also accompanied by the elected PRESI Mr. Ir. Hadi Wihardja, OLY, who participated with the aim of learning how to deliver presentations in anti-doping education before being assigned later.
