Jakarta, 11 February 2025
The ASIOP Indonesian Football Academy in collaboration with Shonan Bellmare on February 11th, 2025 held a press conference in the press conference room at the ASIOP Stadium in Cempaka Putih, Jakarta. The meeting presented several speakers, namely the President of ASIOP Mr. Ade Prima Syarif, Mr. Shun Ogino, member of the Board of Directors of Shonan Bellmare, Chairman of IADO and two representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta and from the SaSa Company in Jakarta. The main material of the press conference was related to the activities at the ASIOP Cempaka Putih Stadium on February 15th, 2025 for the event of the Sports Festival Indonesia 2025. The event is expected to involve 200 children aged 9-12 years, of which 100 children would be from Indonesia and 100 children would be Japanese citizens. The event will be a means of strengthening relations between Indonesia and Japan through positive interactions between children from both countries. The concept is to combine various traditional games and sports. It was hoped that the spirit of sportsmanship, togetherness and cultural exchange could be built in children through that event.
In the press conference, IADO expressed its appreciation to ASIOP and Shonan Bellmare, for providing the opportunity to remind the committee that the essence of anti-doping education could begin to be introduced to children at an early age, as those have also been implemented for quite a long time in Japan. Even though according to the provisions of the World Anti-Doping Code, sample collection should not be carried out for children of any age group unless with parental consent, if anti-doping has been instilled from the start, then it would not be difficult for the participants of the 2025 Indonesian Sports Festival to start to know a little about anti-doping. So, if there is continuity, when they are teenager and older they would not be too unfamiliar with the understanding of anti-doping.
