Jakarta, 6 June 2025

The Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) was entrusted again to control doping at the prestigious badminton event of the Kapal Api Indonesia Open 2025 Series 1000, organized from June 3th to 8th, 2025, at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. As one of the highest-level tournaments on the BWF World Tour (Super 1000), the event was attended by more than 250 athletes from 30 countries.

IADO was assigned as the Sample Collection Authority (SCA) by providing 3 Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and 2 Chaperones during the event. The IADO Sample Collection Personnel (SCP) collected samples in accordance with the Testing Order issued by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), which was acted as the Testing Authority (TA).

All sample collection procedures strictly adhered to the International Standard for Testing and Investigation (ISTI) and followed BWF protocols regarding athletes’ rights and responsibilities. IADO ensured that all activities were conducted while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the athletes’ samples, upholding the commitment to clean and fair sport.

IADO hopes that no athlete will be found using any prohibited substances listed in the WADA 2025 International Standard Prohibited List. Furthermore, this event serves as a valuable opportunity for IADO’s SCP to enhance their technical skills, gain experience, and strengthen their readiness for future international competitions.
IADO extends its appreciation to BWF for the ongoing collaboration and looks forward to continuing this synergy in support of doping-free sports.
