IADO in cooperation with the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI), conducted an anti-doping and whereabouts understanding for pencak silat athletes undergoing national training on August 25th, 2025. The event took place at the Pencak Silat Padepokan, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta.
This activity was a part of IADO’s ongoing efforts to educate athletes about the importance of completing whereabouts through the Athlete Central app. This was crucial, especially for athletes in the Registered Testing Pool (RTP) and Testing Pool (TP), who often struggle to understand the function, purpose, and procedures for completing the application.

The event was attended by 15 athletes, 6 coaches, and 1 doctor. Socialization was increasingly important as the pencak silat team has been preparing for the 33rd SEA Games Thailand in late 2025, the Pre-SEA Games next October, and various other international championships. The IADO emphasized that filling out the whereabouts form facilitates the process of collecting Out-of-Competition Testing (OOCT) samples without prior notice. If an athlete fails to fill out the form (filling failure) or is not found at the address listed (missed test), they will receive one failure point. A combination of three failed whereabouts forms will result in a minimum one-year suspension from competition, in accordance with the regulations stipulated in the WADA Code.

The activity process commenced with a pre-test, followed by a presentation on anti-doping material by Mr. Rifaldi and Mrs. Tiffani Iasa Putri, 2 staffs of the IADO Testing Directorate, and was concluded with a post-test and assistance with activating ADAMS accounts and filling out whereabouts. The event was interactive, with numerous questions, discussions, and high enthusiasm from the athletes and coaches. Pencak silat is one of the sports that is quite compliant with filling out whereabouts. IADO hoped that through this activity, athletes will gain a better understanding of anti-doping regulations and be more consistent in updating their locations at Athlete Central every quarter and when moving locations, thereby avoiding potential anti-doping violations.
