2025 ASEAN Sports Integrity & Anti-Doping Symposium

Labuan, 30 October 2025

On October 29th and 30th, 2025, IADO Chairman Mr. Gatot S. Dewa Broto attended the “2025 ASEAN Sports Integrity & Anti-Doping Symposium” held by ADAMAS (Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia) in Labuan, Malaysia. This event was part of Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chair manship.

The two-day symposium covered a wide range of topics, addressing not only the challenges and potential for increasing cooperation in doping control among ASEAN countries, but also other equally important sports issues, such as the consistent integrity of sports stakeholders in the region. Therefore, the symposium, organized by ADAMAS (Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia), also featured a number of speakers from outside anti-doping authorities, including MACC, BWF, and Australia Sport Integrity.

The event was officially opened by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Datuk Dr. K. Shivaraj, and was attended by representatives of: WADA; JADA (Japan Anti-Doping Agency); KADA (Korea Anti-Doping Agency); CHINADA (China Anti-Doping Agency); MACC (Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission); BWF (Badminton World Federation); ASEAN Secretariat; Australia Sport Integrity; and all NADOs (National Anti-Doping Organizations) in the ASEAN region. At the end of the event, the “Labuan Resolution on Sports Integrity & Anti-Doping” was agreed upon.
