The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has once again appointed IADO as the Sample Collection Authority (SCA) for “the 2025 Polytron Indonesia Para Badminton International,” held at the Manahan Indoor Sports Hall in Solo, Central Java, from October 29th to November 2nd, 2025. The tournament, attended by 24 countries, was a special occasion for Indonesia as the host, as it is a single-event para-badminton event, unlike the usual multi-event format held under the auspices of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC).
In that prestigious event, IADO demonstrated its commitment to maintaining the credibility and quality of doping control by fielding its best team as an official BWF partner at every international event held in Indonesia. As the Sample Collection Authority (SCA), IADO assigned three Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and five Chaperones to carry out the entire sample collection process in accordance with the Testing Order issued by the BWF, the Testing Authority (TA). The entire sampling process was carried out while upholding the confidentiality and integrity of athlete samples, and adhering to the standards set out in the International Standard for Testing and Investigation (ISTI) and BWF procedures regarding athlete rights and obligations.
Through this assignment, IADO hoped that the collaboration with BWF will continue and strengthen IADO’s position as a consistent and professional partner in implementing doping control at international events. Furthermore, this activity also provided a valuable opportunity for Sample Collection Personnel (SCP) to develop their competencies and gain experience in sample collection at world-class sporting events.
