Following the successful implementation of anti-doping training for 10 new students of the Sports Medicine Study Program at the IADO office on December 9th, 2025, various anti-doping presentation or lecture will soon be provided to new students of the Sports Medicine Study Program (PSIKO) at Atmajaya University, Jakarta. This lecture for Atmajaya University students follows the signing of an MoU between the Rector of Atmajaya University and the Chairman of IADO on June 30th, 2025, at the Rector’s office.
In preparation for the planned provision of the material, on January 12th, 2026, a technical meeting was held to discuss the mechanisms and procedures for providing the planned material and was attended in full by the IADO management and Dr. Arie Sutopo as a representative of the teaching staff of PSIKO Atmajaya University who also happens to be the Chair of the IADO TUE Committee. Different from the scope of the material that has been provided to PSIKO University of Indonesia students in the previous month, the provision of anti-doping material to PSIKO Atmajaya University students will be more comprehensive, because it is designed to fully equip students with a more detailed understanding of anti-doping. Meanwhile, for PSIKO UI students, in the long term, there will also be more detailed in-depth study.
IADO fundamentally appreciates the initiative of both UI and Atma Jaya University Jakarta in collaborating with IADO to provide anti-doping training. This is crucial, as it ensures that PSIKO students have a comprehensive understanding of anti-doping regulations, given that many of them will be actively involved in a number of sports. Experience has shown that at every national and international sporting event, the possibility for athletes’ physicians to request TUEs for their athletes is always provided beforehand. The problem is that not all physicians accompanying athletes have sufficient knowledge of TUEs, which is understandable, as their activities are not solely related to TUE issues.
