Currently, the football sport program under the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has a competition system managed under the names League 1, League 2, League 3, and League 4. Meanwhile, volleyball is under the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI) is related to ProLeague and basketball is under the Indonesian Basketball Association (PERBASI) is related to IBL. According to reports, in the near future, karate under the Indonesian Karate Association (FOKI) will have a professional competition specifically for karate athletes. In response, IADO welcomed this initiative in a meeting with the President Director of PT Sinergi Arena Prestasi, the prospective organizer of the karate competition, on January 14th, 2026, as it will provide athletes with comprehensive anti-doping knowledge.
Furthermore, the IADO reminded that national karate competitions must still obtain approval from the national federation of the sport, in this case FORKI. IADO does not wish to collaborate with any national sporting entity that could ultimately create dualism within the sporting organization in question. According to PT Sinergi Arena Prestasi, they have coordinated with FORKI and are merely formalities. For the next step, the IADO and PT Sinergi Arena Prestasi still need further coordination, particularly in the development of anti-doping education methods to be implemented.
