Jakarta, 4 February 2026
On February 4th, 2026, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held to prepare for anti-doping lectures for new students in the Sports Medicine Study Program (PSIKO) at Atmajaya University, Jakarta. The FGD took place at the IADO office and was attended by the IADO management and representatives from the Faculty of Medicine at Atmajaya University. The FGD was a follow-up to the signing of an MoU between the IADO Chairman and the Rector of Atmajaya University, Jakarta, on June 30th, 2025, and a technical coordination meeting between the two parties on January 12th, 2026. Also present in the FGD was Kerry Galhos from CND (Commirsao Nacional do Desporto / National Sports Commission) of Timor Leste, who on February 3rd and 4th, 2026 was visiting IADO.
Based on the FGD, it was agreed, among other things, that anti-doping lectures would begin around September 2026 at the IADO office. Furthermore, students are required to complete the ADEL (Anti-Doping Education and Learning Platform). This digital educational platform has been required for all athletes worldwide participating in multi-sport events for the past few years. By completing ADEL, like athletes, students will receive an official WADA-accredited certificate, signifying at least basic anti-doping knowledge.
If the lecture plan goes smoothly as agreed, it will be the second opportunity for IADO to collaborate in providing anti-doping lectures for PSIKO students, because previously on December 9th, 2025, a public lecture on anti-doping was held for PSIKO students at the University of Indonesia, which at that time took place for a full day at the IADO office. The activity with students from the UI Faculty of Medicine had gone smoothly and was very productive.
