Sanya, 30 April 2026
After a lengthy selection process, the Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) received an official Invitation Letter from the Anti-Doping Department of the Organizing Committee for the 6th Asian Beach Games 2026 in Sanya (SABGOC) on April 7, 2026. The letter officially invited the IADO to assign a Doping Control Officer (DCO) Mr Rifaldi, to prepare for and conduct doping sample collection activities at the 6th Asian Beach Games 2026 in Sanya. This event, the largest multi-sport beach event in Asia, organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), took place from April 19th to 30th, 2026, in Sanya, China.
On this occasion, a DCO of IADO was one of four officers selected as International Doping Control Officers (IDCOs). The other three officers were from Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, and Thailand. This milestone marked the first time IADO has deployed personnel to the Asian Beach Games. This participation was expected to be a strategic opportunity to enhance the competence, experience, and capacity of doping control officers at the Asian level. Furthermore, this international experience was expected to be implemented in the implementation of anti-doping programs at various sporting events in Indonesia, particularly international ones.
IADO expressed its appreciation for the opportunity, as this invitation represented international recognition of the quality and commitment of IADO to maintaining the professionalism and integrity of doping control officers in Indonesia. IADO hoped this participation will have a positive impact and strengthen the organization’s position on the international stage. Going forward, IADO is committed to continuously developing the quality of its human resources so they can actively contribute to various sporting events, from the SEA Games and Asian Games to the Olympic Games, as well as a number of events held by Paralympic federations across Southeast Asia, Asia, and the world.
