Indonesia is preparing to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games which is just 81 days away. Some of the sport programs have been qualified to take part in the Games, including Archery, Wall Climbing, Gymnastics, Shooting, Surfing, Weightlifting, Badminton, Cycling and Rowing. Prior to the big event, the contingent and related national federations have to prepare for certain important things. In addition to the ongoing training, maintaining fitness, and intake of healthy and nutritious food, all of athletes and Athlete Support Personnel (ASP) need to understand properly the Olympic Rules of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and know the crucial dates on the Olympic agenda.
One of the crucial types of information which should be understood very well by all of the athletes taking part in the Paris Olympic Games relates to ADEL (Anti-Doping Education and Learning Platform). ADEL material for the Paris 2024 Olympics is an anti-doping administration guide that has been prepared by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for athletes and ASPs to prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympics, in which IADO has actively invited athletes and management of national federations to understand the ADEL material. IADO has provided education regarding the importance of working on the ADEL for Paris Olympic Games 2024 to the sports of Gymnastics, Badminton, and Rock Climbing, and today to the National Olympic Committee (NOC) for Paris 2024 Olympic Coordination Meeting to national federations.
Accordingly, they can remind athletes to always comply with IOC regulations, fill in whereabouts, and consult a doctor if they need a TUE. Currently, several athletes and ASPs have worked on and received the ADEL for Paris Olympic Games 2024 certificate. ADEL for Paris Olympic Games 2024 contains information about IOC Anti-Doping Rules and Procedures, which is valid from April 18th, 2024. International Testing Agency (ITA) organization has been appointed to carry out all anti-doping responsibilities during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games including testing, TUE process, TUE committee, and results management (RM) for all athletes qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. All forms of anti-doping information in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games can be accessed through WADA’s official e-learning platform ADEL, whose title is ADEL for Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Various materials ranging from guidance on doping for Registered Testing Pool (RTP) athletes, national level athletes, and also international levels.
