Activities of anti-doping education in the certain region was carried out again and on the last occasion plotted athletes, coaches and administrators as the main target. IADO in collaboration with the Central KONI (National Sports Committee of Indonesia) to carry out that activity, commenced with an opening from the Deputy Chairman of KONI Southern Kalimantan II Mr. Gusti Perdana Kusuma and continued with the material from KONI, whose topic was “achieving without doping.” In essence, the presentation explained the legal basis of anti-doping which is contained in the Law of No 11 of 2022 on Sports and the Government Regulation of No. 16 of 2007 on the Implementation of Sports. Furthermore, the following material was delivered by the Director of Intelligence and Investigation Mr. Suharyanto, who explained that it activities of anti-doping is not testing onlt, but apparently it also includs education which is the front line and preventive action against doping violations. The other material was the core material from anti-doping socialization and education activities organized in Banjarmasin on October 24th 2024, presenting the anti-doping education by Miss. Devi Sagita Ratri as an Anti-Doping Education Staff, and also personnel from PRESI (Education Presenter). They were Dr. Ferdinandus Adri Pradhana, Sp.KO and Mr. Masaji Dirgantara, S.Pd.

That educational activity was carried out interactively, in which the audience wishing to ask anything, he / she could ask directly. The questions that arose were quite challenging, for example an audience asked why there is no Doping Lab in Indonesia. In answering this, the Education Team stated that to build a Doping Lab there should be several conditions which should be fulfilled, in which one of them is a requirement that it must be able to fulfill and analyze at least 3,000 samples each year. The following question related to the risks of steroids if used for a long term. In answering this, Dr. Ferdinandus Adri Pradhana, Sp.KO said that it depends on how long and how often the person uses it. He further said that generally steroids can damage the function of the kidneys, liver and heart. Prior to the end of the event there was one quite interesting question, which arose “What happens if an athlete drinks water that has been charmed to make him or her immune and more powerful? Could that action be considered doping?” That question caused everybody to laugh, but in response to that unique question, the Education Team stated that if the content consumed was mineral water only that is not mixed with other substances and only a kind of chant / prayer, then the water is not considered doping.
