As it is also required for all countries in the world that have ratified the International UNESCO Convention against Doping in Sport, Indonesia is also required to complete the anti-doping questionnaire distributed by the Secretariat of the International UNESCO Convention against Doping in Sport. For the purpose of completing the questionnaire, one of the stages that distinguished it from similar filling in the previous two years is the requirement for NADO (in this case by IADO) to hold a coordination meeting with various parties in the government. The virtual meeting took place on March 20th, 2025 and was led directly by the Deputy Coordinating Minister for Human Resources and Culture responsible for Coordination of Strengthening Character and National Identity Prof. Warsito and was attended by a number of officials from various ministerial and non-ministerial institutions, KONI (National Sports Committee of Indonesia), KOI (National Olympic Committee) and NPC (National Paralympic Committee) of Indonesia.
For the information, filling out the questionnaire is not the first time, because in 2021 it was also required for Indonesia, but it was not done because from the end of 2021 to early 2022 Indonesia was busy with sanctions imposed by WADA on Indonesia, which IADO (as a replacement for LADI) did not know about. As a consequence, IADO was strongly reprimanded by the International UNESCO Convention against Doping in Sport. It was only in 2023 that IADO filled out the questionnaire (conducted every 2 years) and the result was that IADO received a High Compliance rating. While for 2025, the deadline is April 2nd, 2025. If it is late, the results will be announced at the UNESCO meeting in October 2025.
