Jakarta, 8 April 2025

WADA Asia-Oceania Director Mrs. Mayumi Yaya Yamamoto on March 26, 2025 submitted a telephone notification to IADO regarding WADA’s offer for the possibility of holding WADA GLDF (Global Learning and Development Framework) training activities in Indonesia on July 2025. The explanation from the WADA Asia-Oceania Director was then clarified via email sent to IADO two days later with the following details (the budget of which will be borne by WADA): activity materials would be related to TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption); activity plan would be July 8th to 10th, 2025 in Jakarta; training participants would consist of 14 people from Asian and Oceanian countries plus 3 people from WADA (as instructors). So that the total would be 17 participants; and the activity would be expected to take place in a hotel, complete with lunch and coffee break. Meanwhile, from the Indonesian side, it would be expected to only cover the provision of transportation to and from the airport.

For Indonesia, if WADA’s offer is accepted by Indonesia, it will be beneficial: to become the first WADA training at the GLDF level in the Southeast Asia region (WADA training at the GDLF level for testing topics was just conducted in Kazakhstan on February 2025 where the Director of IADO Testing Mrs. Linda Rosalina, attended it from Indonesia); so far, the IADO TUE Committee has always tried to find opportunities to obtain TUE training programs in an international scope, but has not been realized; and to further provide confidence to Indonesia about Indonesia’s ability to host WADA training programs, even though most of the budget would be borne by WADA. Considering that currently the efficiency policy is a government policy that we must fully support, however, considering that there is an offer from WADA, this opportunity does not want to be wasted. Finally, on April 8th, 2025, IADO submitted its response to WADA to accept the very constructive offer.
