On May 19, 2025, Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia (PERBASI) reaffirmed its commitment to clean sport by organizing an Anti-Doping Education session for professional basketball athletes and Athlete Supporting Personnel (ASP) participating in the International Basketball League (IBL). As the national body, that is responsible for implementing anti-doping programs in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code, IADO plays a vital role in regularly providing education and outreach to athletes and ASPs of many sports branches in Indonesia. Through this event, IADO continues to raise awareness and increase the knowledge needed to prevent doping violations.

In this event, the two speakers give education about anti-doping that covered many important topics of antidoping, including the 11 Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs), the principle of strict liability, how to use the Prohibited List, procedures for applying and obtaining a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE), and last but not least – about doping control process. Special attention was given to the essential role of ASPs—including coaches, team doctors, and other support staff—in safeguarding athletes from unintentional doping infractions.

This event received positive feedback from both athletes and ASPs, who valued the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of clean sport principles. This collaboration between PERBASI and IADO highlights a shared vision: to do clean sport in Indonesia basketball, thus protecting the health of athletes and the integrity of basketball in Indonesia.
