Jakarta, 11 July 2025

On July 11, 2025, IADO and the FLI (Indonesian Lacrosse Federation) signed an MoU on Anti-Doping Activities. The MoU signing took place at the IADO Office in Jakarta and was conducted by IADO Chairman Mr. Gatot S. Dewa Broto and FLI (Indonesian Lacrosse Federation) Chairman Mr. Muhammad Riyad. With the signing of the MoU, since July 5th, 2022 (the first MoU between IADO and KONI / National Sports Committee of Indonesia), there have been 71 sports organizations in Indonesia that have signed MoUs with IADO.

NADO’s obligation to bind itself through the signing of all Sports Organizations in each country is in accordance with WADA provisions as stated when the WADA Audit Team conducted an audit of IADO on April 27th and 28th, 2023, where IADO was considered to only bind itself with a number of Sports Organizations, while the provisions must be with all Sports Organizations that are members of the Indonesian NOC.

For the information, lacrosse is a relatively new sport in Indonesia, as it involves throwing and passing a ball with a stick. This sport is popular in North America, where many schools and universities in the region play it. The rules of lacrosse are simple: players pass the ball to their teammates using sticks. The goal is to get the ball to their teammates’ goalposts and score a goal.
