Suddenly, on July 13th, 2025, IADO received a notification from the management of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) that a new national record had been broken in the U-18 women’s shot put event at the 2025 Student Sports Invitation and Jakarta Open. That new national record was broken by the talented young athlete Miss. Lina Hisage. The athlete, who was affiliated with the Papua Athletics Center from Papua Province, surpassed the previous record held by Miss. Ida Dewa Ayu (NTB). In a stunning performance at the PPOP Ragunan Field, Miss. Lina Hisage recorded a throw of 14.03 meters on her second attempt, surpassing the previous record of 13.91 meters. That brilliant achievement was immediately greeted by cheers from the audience and became one of the most highlighted moments of the 2025 Student Sports Invitation and Jakarta Open.
Considering that the national record achievement was officially recorded by the Competition Committee and the Executive Board of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PB PASI) after going through a strict validation stage, re-measuring the equipment used and valid measuring equipment according to competition rules, the next requirement was a doping sample collection that must be carried out by the DCO from IADO. That process ensures integrity and sportsmanship in athletics. Although there was no previous official notification from PASI, they then suddenly contacted IADO. As a form of commitment, IADO immediately responded quickly by assigning a DCO to the competition venue to collect samples from the athlete who broke the new national record, because without sample collection by IADO, her new record according to the rules of the International Athletics Federation will not be legally recognized. Then the sample was sent to the Anti-Doping Laboratory in Bangkok.
