Following the letter from the Chairman of the IPL (Indonesia Ping Pong League) to the Chairman of IADO on July 1st, 2025, the Secretary General of the Indonesian NOC sent a letter to the Chairman of IADO on July 2nd, 2025. The letter essentially stated that, based on the results of the 2025 ITTF Annual General Meeting in Doha on May 27th, 2025, it was decided that the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has recognized the Indonesia Ping Pong League (IPL) as its member in Indonesia. Therefore, the Indonesian NOC has requested the IADO to assist in expediting the signing of the MoU with the IPL to fulfill the membership requirements of the Indonesian NOC, which will be decided at the Extraordinary Membership Meeting of the Indonesian Olympic Committee in July 2025.

As a follow-up to the letter, on July 14th, 2025, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Chairman of the Indonesian National Tennis Association (IPL), Lieutenant General M. Saleh Mustafa, and the Chairman of IADO Mr. Gatot S. Dewa Broto. The MoU on Anti-Doping Activities, which reinforces the IPL’s commitment to fully comply with the anti-doping regulations established by WADA, as conveyed by the Chairman. In response, the Chairman of the IADO stated that the IADO expressed its gratitude to the Chairman for this commitment, noting that so far, Indonesian table tennis athletes have been virtually free of doping indications and that it is hoped that this will continue to be the case.

The signing adds to the long list of national federations that have tied themselves to the IADO, so that after the signing of the MoU between the IADO and Lacrosse Indonesia on July 11th, 2025, as of July 14th, 2025, there are already 72 sports organizations in Indonesia (including KONI / National Sports Committee of Indonesia, NOC Indonesia, NPC Indonesia, and the Indonesian Olympians Association) that have signed the MoU with the IADO. This agreement is legally mandatory in the eyes of WADA.
