Jakarta, 16 July 2025

Following the previous MoUs signing with the IADO on November 30th, 2022, with six National Federations (PSSI / Indonesian Football Association, PASI / Indonesian Athletics Federation, FPTI / Indonesian Sport Climbing Federation, PBWI / Indonesian Wushu Federation, PERBASI / Indonesian Basketball Federation, and PABSI / Indonesian Weight Lifting Federation) and the NPC of Indonesia at a hotel in Jakarta (due to the coincident National Anti-Doping Seminar), the similar signing took place on July 16th, 2025, despite a time lag between the national federation leaders. This time, the MoU signing with the IADO was carried out by PPPTI (Indonesian Flying Saucer Players Association), POTTI (Indonesian Tug of War Sports Association), and ICRA (Indonesian Camel Race Association). The signing of the MoU basically followed several previous MoU signings between IADO and PERBATI (Indonesian Boxing Executive Board) on May 19th, 2025, and then with FLI (Indonesian Lacrosse Federation) on July 11th, 2025 and then with IPL (Indonesia Ping Pong League) on July 14th, 2025. The 6 National Federations are indeed required by the Indonesian NOC to sign an MoU with IADO before their membership is officially accepted by the Indonesian NOC.

In the signing of the MoU on July 16th, 2025, from the IADO side it was carried out directly by the Chairman of IADO Mr. Gatot S. Dewa Broto, while from PPPTI by the Chairman of PPPTI Mr. Randi Tulus Pambudi. Likewise from POTTI by the Chairman of POTTI Mr. Bayu Priawan Jokosoetomo and from ICRA by the Chairman of ICRA Mr. Dipo Nurhadi Ilham. With the addition of 3 National Federations that signed with IADO on July 16th, 2025, IADO has succeeded in binding agreements with 75 Sports Organizations in Indonesia and this is an achievement for the first time in the history of the existence of an anti-doping organization in Indonesia since the establishment of LADI in 2006 and then changed its name to IADO in 2022. IADO really hopes that the signings of the MoU have not been just a formality on a stamped paper document, but ae truly complied with consistently in order to move towards a doping-free era. In practice, IADO acknowledges that all National Federations have demonstrated their consistency in complying with the anti-doping rules implemented by WADA through IADO, so that if an athlete is suspected of committing a doping violation, they would not cover it up and would allow IADO to carry out the process in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

On the same day after the signings of the MoU, the IADO and the Chairmen of the three National Federations also attended the Extraordinary Members Meeting of the Indonesian NOC. On that occasion, the IADO informally expressed its appreciation to the Chairman of the Indonesian NOC, because the Indonesian NOC has required new members to enter into an agreement with the IADO, and this was a strategic step to minimize the possibility of doping violations. Meanwhile, to the Chairmen of the National Federations who had just signed the MoU, the IADO offered its willingness to cooperate at any time in order to at least conduct anti-doping education, considering that anti-doping regulations are always very dynamic. In turn, they also appreciated the IADO for its full cooperation in helping them to quickly complete all the requirements to become members of the Indonesian NOC.
