Solo, 4 September 2024

IADO has once again been entrusted with the 2025 National Athletics Championships and the Indonesian U-18 Open, held at Sriwedari Stadium in Solo. The event, which took place from August 29th to September 4th, 2025, was opened by the General Secretary of PB PASI (Indonesian Athletics Association) Mr. Tigor M. Tanjung. That championship was an annual event of PB PASI, with participation from 38 provinces and invited participants from several countries, including Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Timor Leste, and Japan.

“The National Athletics Championships are a mandatory and annual program of PB PASI. This year, we are grateful to be able to hold it in the historic city of Solo, the birthplace of the PON (National Sports Games), and we hope to achieve the highest achievements from our proud athletes from all provinces,” said PB PASI General Secretary Mr. Tigor M. Tanjung.

The 2025 National Athletics Championship were even more special because they are registered in the World Athletics Global Calendar and were labeled as a World Rankings Competition. This means athletes’ results could be used to accumulate points and increase their chances of competing in prestigious international championships.

IADO participated as the Testing Authority (TA) in this annual event. The doping tests were conducted in accordance with the International Standard for Testing and Investigation (ISTI), and the sample collection process was related to athletes’ rights and obligations.

At that event, the IADO’s DCO and Chaperone successfully completed the sample collection task in accordance with the Testing Order issued by IADO. Excellent coordination between PB PASI and IADO ensured the successful implementation of the doping tests. It was hoped that this collaboration between PB PASI and IADO will continue, both during and after competitions, to ensure the credibility of Indonesian athletics athletes.
