The Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) has entrusted IADO as the Sample Collection Authority (SCA) for the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in 2025. That appointment confirmed IADO’s reputation as an institution with a strong track record in supporting various international sporting events in Indonesia.

That prestigious world championship, the first to be held in Southeast Asia, took place at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta from October 19th to25th, 2025. The event featured elite athletes from a record 80 countries, providing world-class competition that created history—most notably when Miss Kaylia Nemour of Algeria becomed the first African gymnast to win a World Championship gold medal, a monumental achievement for the global gymnastics world.

As the official SCA, the IADO deployed an experienced doping control team to ensure comprehensive coverage throughout the competition period. All sampling procedures were carried out based on a Testing Order issued by the FIG (through the DTP International Testing Agency (ITA)) as the Testing Authority (TA).

The sampling process was carried out to the highest professional standards, ensuring the confidentiality, security, and integrity of each sample. All activities strictly adhered to the International Standards for Testing and Investigation (ISTI) and the FIG Anti-Doping Regulations, ensuring the comprehensive protection of athletes’ rights and responsibilities.

In addition to ensuring technical compliance, the IADO also emphasized the importance of discipline, consistency, and accountability from all personnel on duty in the field. All Sample Collection Personnel (SCP) worked responsibly and adhered to international standards applicable to events such as the World Championships.

Through this strategic collaboration, the IADO strengthened its position as a trusted partner of the FIG in implementing doping control programs in Indonesia. That collaboration not only contributed to the successful organization of the World Championships but also provided a crucial opportunity to enhance the capacity and practical experience of IADO personnel, in preparation for future global sporting events.
