The Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting clean sport through a collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC). Anti-doping education and whereabouts information dissemination for RTP-TP NPC athletes were held in Surakarta on December 3rd, 2025, as part of preparations for the 2026 ASEAN Para Games, to be held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The event featured 38 athletes from various sports, as well as one doctor, one physiotherapist, and 10 Athlete Support Personnel (ASPs).

The event began with remarks from NPC representative, Dr. Retno Setianing, who emphasized the importance of anti-doping education, adherence to the whereabouts program, and athlete preparation for international championships. A second speech was delivered by the Acting Secretary General of IADO, Ir. Suharyanto, MSc, who appreciated the NPC’s collaboration and emphasized the importance of integrity in sport. The next session featured speakers from IADO Mrs. Natashya Marcellina Ardiany, S.Pd., S.M., MA, who provided a comprehensive presentation on the overall anti-doping program, both in Indonesia and internationally. Miss. Weliza Agustina presented on Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) related to the TUE administrative application process for athletes. In addition, Mr. Dezard Syah Rahman explained Result Management (RM) on the notification flow and handling of doping cases.

The next presentation was delivered by Ir. Suharyanto, MSc, and Daffa Bramantyo, who discussed the role of intelligence and investigations in the anti-doping program, including information reporting mechanisms. That session also provided education regarding Speak-Up, where athletes are given a safe space to convey important information regarding suspected anti-doping violations.

The most anticipated material by athletes, namely the socialization of whereabouts, which was guided by Mr. Rifaldi from the Testing Directorate. The activity began with filling out the Pre-Test, then continued with an explanation of the importance of compliance with filling out whereabouts for RTP-TP athletes, tips and steps for filling out to prevent whereabouts failure (filling failure and missed tests), athlete obligations ahead of the 2026 ASEAN Para Games, including completing e-learning on the ADEL platform to obtain a certificate as a competition requirement. The activity was closed with a Post-Test and an interactive discussion session, where many questions arose regarding anti-doping procedures, TUEs, and the technicalities of filling out whereabouts. IADO and NPC hoped that all athletes would be more compliant with anti-doping regulations and understand the 11 anti-doping violations and be able to implement all procedures properly for the upcoming international event.
