Jakarta, 4 February 2026

Following a successful first day of meeting, IADO again met with Miss Kerry Galhos from CND (Commissao Nacional do Desporto / National Sports Commission). Miss Kerry attended as the Person in Charge of NADO Timor Leste, which exists under CND (like KONI in Indonesia). As planned, the second day of the meeting (February 4th, 2026) discussed testing, investigation and intelligence, and education. Presentations and Q&A sessions for each of these areas were delivered directly by all relevant IADO Directors, as IADO aimed to provide the best possible collaborative service to its guests from Timor Leste. Miss Kerry also attended the IADO meeting with ISNA (Indonesia Sport Nutritionist Association which led to the signing of an MoU) and a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Faculty of Sports Medicine, Atma Jaya University, Jakarta.

Miss Kerry Galhos led NADO Timor-Leste single-handedly, facing numerous challenges and difficulties. Fortunately, she had a comprehensive educational background abroad: from senior high school (in Australia), undergraduate (in the United States), and postgraduate (in the United Kingdom). Furthermore, she received support from the Timor-Leste Minister of Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture. With this expertise, she worked hard, with the support of certain limited personnel, to develop NADO Timor-Leste. She even had the opportunity to participate in several anti-doping trainings in several countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, IADO reiterated Miss Kerry’s commitment to assisting NADO Timor-Leste. Ideally, this should begin with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries. However, IADO was willing to provide guidance in all areas of doping control, including providing all materials (both hard and soft copy) on NADO management needed by NADO Timor-Leste, as long as they were not confidential. For example, if there is a TUE application process and a hearing and appeal process due to a doping case, IADO will be very pleased to assist NADO Timor Leste.
