IADO educated gymnastics athletes who will compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics Games. The most prestigious event will be held from July 26th to August 11th, 2024. For the purpose of preparation in addition to practicing, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, athletes are also prepared with knowledge related to anti-doping. On that occasion, IADO was invited by the Indonesian Gymnastics Federation on January 19th, 2024 to explain related, anti-doping rules and procedures based on World Anti-Doping Code, identify important dates during the Olympics, identify sampling periods out of competition and in competition. Anti-Doping education was explained directly by Mr. Natashya Marcellina Ardiany as Director of Education of IADO. According to her, the IOC anti-doping rules and procedures will be applied from April 18th, 2024 in addition to the existing IF and NADO anti-doping rules which should be obeyed by all related – athletes and coaches. Fortunately, an artistic gymnast athlete Miss Rifda Irfanaluthfi succeeded in making new history for the sport of Indonesian gymnastics by getting a place at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The opportunity for Miss Rifda Irfanaluthfi getting a place at the 2024 Paris Olympics emerged after appearing at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Antwerp, Belgium.
The pre-games period will be organized from April 18th, 2024 to July 17th, 2024 (the day prior to the opening of the Olympic Village). During the pre-match until the end of the Olympic period, athletes are strongly expected to be ready and do not forget to update their Whereabouts, because the ITA (International Testing Agency) as a doping testing authority appointed by the IOC, can test athletes anytime and anywhere. In addition, there are also regulations which are strongly mandatory for athletes to avoid 11 anti-doping violations and the role of athlete support personnel, in which some of which are to remind athletes regarding filling Whereabouts and keeping what athletes consume. At that crucial time athletes are asked to play an active role in maintaining body condition, be mindful in taking drugs and keeping records related to what drugs are consumed, keep proof of prescriptions and proof of drug purchases.
