During the National Conference of KONI from September 12th to 13th, 2022, IADO did not only provide the presentation on anti-doping, it also set up a booth in front of the conference room. At that booth, IADO provided a television enabling visitors to know any video describing IADO education activities such as outreach booth at the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, education seminar and so on. IADO also provided souvenirs to the conference participants which hopefully could raise awareness of anti-doping and the existence of IADO.
The latter is important, because the sports stakeholders have been more familiar with LADI (Indonesia Anti-Doping Agency) instead of IADO. Such knowledge is very understandable, for LADI was created by the Ministry in 2006. The public did not know IADO very well except certain sports communities, until the suspension was decided by WADA on October 7th, 2021. After long discussion and due to the policy of the Ministry to reform totally LADI, then IADO emerged officially on February 4th, 2022, in which structure, policy, implementation and sufficient budget support from the Ministry shall be monitored by WADA.
