Courtesy Call of Representatives of WADA and SEARADO to Minister of Youth and Sports

Jakarta, December 1^st, 2022

After attending the 2022 National Anti-Doping Seminar, Mr. Saravana Perumal (Manager of Asia Oceania Office of WADA) and Mr. Gobinathan Nair (Director General of SEARADO / South East Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization) met the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic pf Indonesia Mr. Zainudin Amali at the office of the ministry on December 1^st, 2022. The meeting was dominated by friendly talk, because it was the first physical meeting between Government of Indonesia and WADA as well as SEARADO after the lifting of WADA suspension.

The Minister expressed his appreciation to WADA for their presence at the seminar and the critical supervision for a better IADO. Moreover, the Minister stated that the Government of Indonesia supported full the performance of IADO without any interfere totally to IADO. On the contrary, both Mr. Perumal and Mr. Gobinathan expressed their appreciation to the commitment shown by the Minister, and kindly encouraged the Minister to continue his support to IADO. After the meeting, Director General of SEARADO and Chairman of IADO were invited to provide a press conference.
