SMARTFREN hosted its annual running event, SMARTFREN RUN 2026, which drew approximately 7,500 runners. The event took place at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta, on July 5th, 2026. It reflected XLSMART’s (IDX: EXCL) commitment to fostering closer connections with customers through healthy living, community togetherness, and activities relevant to people’s lives.
Mr. Astiyanto Tri Muktiwibowo, Group Head of Marketing at SMARTFREN XLSMART, stated that SMARTFREN RUN serves not only as a sporting event but also as a means to strengthen relationships with customers and the community. He noted that the growing enthusiasm among participants demonstrates how enjoyable and relevant experiences can boost customer loyalty while bringing SMARTFREN closer to the public. Moving forward, SMARTFREN plans to continue launching initiatives that provide meaningful experiences for customers across Indonesia. SMARTFREN RUN 2026 further underscored its organizational quality by obtaining “World Athletics Label Certified Measured Course” status—an international certification confirming that the race route meets official World Athletics measurement standards. This certification guarantees that participants run on a course measured in accordance with international standards.
For that event, the Indonesian Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) was appointed as the Testing Authority (TA) to implement the doping testing program. The entire testing process was conducted in compliance with the International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI) issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), while ensuring the rights and obligations of athletes were upheld during sample collection. IADO’s team of Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and Chaperones successfully carried out the sample collection process according to the established Testing Order. The entire testing operation proceeded smoothly and professionally, adhering to international standards. Through its participation in SMARTFREN RUN 2026, IADO reaffirms its commitment to supporting the conduct of sports competitions characterized by cleanliness, fairness, and integrity, while continuing to promote the implementation of “clean sport” values across national and international sporting events held in Indonesia.
