Jakarta, February 14th, 2023
One of the implementations of the MoU signed by IADO and NOC of Indonesia on November 18th, 2022 is how to coordinate each other for a clean athlete dispatch from doping. NOC of Indonesia has performed so far very well every time it has been responsible to handle any athlete dispatched to any international sports event both overseas or in Indonesia, because such management has played important role to contribute in achieving any prestigious position. It was the reason for NOC and IADO on February 14th, 2023 to internally coordinate based on the perspective of anti-doping interest.
The meeting attended by both sides was very beneficial, since it was the first time for both sides to ensure that prior to take part on any international event such as SEA Games and Asian Games on the short coming months, certain elite athletes should get anti-doping education due to encouragement raised by OCA and SEARADO to their member countries. For such purpose, IADO will use one room of NOC’s office to physically organize the activity gradually. In addition, both sides also agree to evaluate the previous athlete whether there was any athlete regarded to violate the Code or not. That is part of IADO activities to reform itself by inviting NOC.
