IADO held an anti-doping education activity to Indonesian Cycling Athletes on July, 22nd, 2023 at Savita Garden Inn, Yogyakarta. There were 7 athletes and coaches of the Indonesia Cycling Federation participating for that activity. The aim of that activity was to increase athlete awareness in order to become ethical, responsible, proactive participants in clean sports, which is in line with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) through prioritizing anti-doping education. However, on that activity, IADO discussed more specific educational material, in particular the importance of athletes using and filling in applications regarding their whereabouts and also one of the mandatories for athletes to get anti-doping education through the Anti-Doping Education & Learning (ADEL) platform which is now one of the mandatory requirements at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
By deploying personnel from the Directorate of Education and Directorate of Testing who conveyed details about Whereabouts and additional information about ADEL for athletes, the purpose of the activity was very beneficial and in particular was responses very well by the related National Federation.
