The Maybank Marathon 2026 was an international-standard running event holding the “Elite Label Road Race” designation from World Athletics. The 2026 edition of this annual event was officially launched on August 23rd, 2026, at the Bali United Training Center in Gianyar, Bali, by the Maybank Indonesia President Director Mr. Steffano Ridwan, accompanied by the Project Director Mr Bambang Irawan, and representatives from PB PASI (the Indonesian Athletics Association).
The 15th edition of the Maybank Marathon, themed “Pace You Forward,” attracted 14,100 participants from 46 countries across four race categories: the 42K Marathon, 21K Half Marathon, 10K, and Wheelchair race. As in previous years, IADO, acting as the Sample Collection Authority (SCA), conducted doping tests on selected athletes in accordance with the Mission Order issued by World Athletics–AIU, which served as the Testing Authority (TA). The entire sample collection process was carried out smoothly and successfully, upholding integrity by ensuring the confidentiality, security, and identity protection of the samples.
The collaborative doping oversight for this event involved IADO, World Athletics–AIU, PB PASI, and the organizing committee. This partnership aimed to support the realization of a doping-free environment—a requirement for all participating athletes—and to uphold the event’s integrity, ensuring its continued international recognition.
