The POLYTRON Pontianak Indonesia Masters 2026—part of the Super 100 badminton tournament series took place in Pontianak from September 1st to 4th, 2026. This official international competition initiated by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) was successfully held, drawing 354 athletes from 16 countries to compete for a total prize purse of USD 120,000. A similar tournament had previously been held in Jakarta in early June 2026.
For this event, IADO was officially invited by PBSI to conduct urine sample collection in accordance with the Testing Order and the 2026 International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI) procedures, ensuring the integrity, security, and identity of the samples while respecting athlete privacy. Despite facing challenges posed by haze and forest fires in the West Kalimantan region, which also affected Pontianak city, the sample collection mission proceeded smoothly, notably, the four assigned IADO Doping Control Officers (DCOs) returned to Jakarta just one day before Soekarno-Hatta Airport was closed due to the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau.
