The Director of Education of IADO Ms. Natashya Marcellina Ardiany, representing IADO on July 1st, 2022 attended the Chief de Mission Meeting as the preparation for the successful 2022 ASEAN Para Games in Surakarta, by presenting LADI’s preparation. The meeting was led by the Secretary General of APSF Senior Colonel Dr. Wandee Tosuwan and attended by all invited participants from all of the countries that will take part in the Games. The presentation was principal, since it was not secret anymore that IADO was just suspended by WADA and they probably had eagerness to know the preparation by NADO of Indonesia.
There were several questions raised during the Q&A session including the practical basics, the list of prohibited ones, and their request that outreach activity should not disturb athletes’ focus at the event.
On that occasion, the Director of Education expressed her pleasure that the preparation of IADO was appreciated mainly by all of the CdM. She also explained that based on the new regulation of WADA, education activity is strongly recommended as one of prevention strategies highlighted in the World Anti-Doping Code.
