Cannes, 29 February 2024

WADA in collaboration with the Agence Française de Lutte contre le Dopage (AFLD) hosted a Global Education Conference (GEC) in Cannes, France, on 27-29 February 27th to 29th, 2024, entitled “Cultivating Our Collective Creativity”. That activity, which has previously also been attended by representatives of IADO, namely the Chairman of IADO and the Director of Education in the city of Sydney, Australia, is a routine programme carried out by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since 2015 in Ottawa, Canada, 2018 in Beijing, China and 2022 in the city of Sydney, Australia.

The conference provided an opportunity for anti-doping practitioners and researchers to discuss emerging trends, share best practices and reflect on how education can further advance our efforts to combat doping in sport. By working together and communicating with each other, the participsnts could raise the standards of anti-doping education. All of them remained united in order to realise the vision of a world in which all athletes can participate in a doping-free sporting environment and to preserve the spirit of sport.

On that occasion, IADO also participated with 3 representatives, namely Mr. Panji as Head of Planning Bureau, Mrs. Natashya Marcellina Ardiany, S.Pd, S.M, MA as Director of Education and Miss. Devi Sagita Ratri, S.E. as Staff of Education. It is hoped that participation in that activity, like the previous ones, will be a source of new ideas and have a good impact, especially on anti-doping education in Indonesia.
