Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) conducted the doping control in the Pre – Qualification of Karate for 2024 PON (National Sports Games). That event was organized from August 25th to 27th, 2023 in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan.
Prior to the grand event of PON 2024 in Aceh – North Sumatra, IADO involved on the pre-qualification of Karate, whose purpose to achieve the fair and doping-free competition, divided into several categories, including Individual Kata, Team Kata, Men’s Kumite, and Women’s Kumite. Each category was divided into several classes based on the weight of the athlete. The doping control officers assigned by IADO have performed very well in cooperation with the Pre – Qualification Committee on Karate. As a result, the entire qualifying event went off without a hitch. 4 IADO Sample Collection Personnel (SCP) successfully collected samples at that Karate Championship event in accordance with the Mission Order made by IADO as Testing Authority.
IADO wishes that event could bring out the brightest athletes to compete in PON 2024whichch have good physical abilities and without the use of prohibited substances.
